ABOUT FRANCIE

Francie Lloyd is a New York-based Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor and Exercise Nutrition Coach who has worked for over a decade in the fitness, health and dance industries in such areas as creative programming, choreography, modeling, consulting and education.

Her philosophy called TRAIN FOR YOUR LIFE® is a customized approach to fitness and wellness that dives deep into the client's personal lifestyle to create a program that is carefully crafted to meet the specific needs and goals of each client. Francie values and relishes in the uniqueness of her clients. They range from athletes to moms-to-be, performers, dancers, corporate professionals and the average Joe and Jane, all looking to enhance their optimal health.

Francie's training practices are rooted in the notion that everyone can adopt a realistic, customizable and sustainable way to maintain a healthy lifestyle within their own constraints. She carries that concept with her into all areas of her business, always exuding enthusiasm and a positive attitude…she doesn't just train her clients, she motivates them.

Part of that motivation includes a commitment to staying one step ahead of the latest industry trends as well as incorporating helpful tips and tools into her fitness programs. She leaves no stone unturned in the pursuit of her client's goals. Francie is perpetually adding to her educational background and stays on the cutting edge of the fitness industry.

In her role as a trainer with the elite Equinox Fitness Clubs in Manhattan, NY, Francie created and coached clients through various wellness programs including weight loss, post-rehabilitation, pre- and post-natal stages, strength, power and endurance. In her former role as a Fitness Manager for Equinox, she educated and presented on Fundamental Anatomy, Kinesiology and Program Design. In addition to her many years at Equinox, Francie works with a variety of private clients as a trainer, nutrition coach, consultant and fitness editor. Francie has also been featured on E! and Elle.com.

Francie is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer. She also holds certifications in Stott Pilates® (Mat and Reformer), Precision Nutrition©, Annette Lang Education Systems (Pre-and-Post-Natal Training), Kettlebell Athletics One-on-One Personal Training and Kettlebell Concepts Group Fitness.

 

An avid runner, Francie is a regular participant in the New York Road Runner's races and can frequently be found hitting the pavement in New York's Central Park with her running group TEAM EXTRATOAST®. She recently ran her first international race at the Waterside Half Marathon in County Derry, Ireland.

Francie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Slippery Rock University where Dance Magazine nominated her as 2004 Student Choreographer of the Year. This nomination resulted in the prestigious honor of performing her self-choreographed piece entitled "Lady of the Lake" at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC. "Lady of the Lake," an innovative piece performed partially in water, is now nationally recognized and frequently commissioned by universities and private dance companies across the U.S. Francie is also a dancer with the New York-based dance company ASEID.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Francie now resides in the Upper East Side with her husband John. When she's not busy motivating others toward a healthy lifestyle, she is running after her two Chihuahua's, Lillie and Milo.
